Passionate Desire.

Passion generally stems from love. Love is something which is not got easily from anybody or anything except from parents.

A person loves to draw, paint, sing, dance, etc. That’s his passion. Without passion a person often tumbles down the road or dries off like a flower which was without water for many days.

Any passionate desire arises from the fact that a particular “good” desire has yet not been got.

Suppose a batsman has been playing for his particular team for the past seven years, but till date he has never scored a double century. He always misses out near the 190-180 mark.

The passion in him to touch the 200 run score is a passionate desire. He will try his level best and if possible will even exceed that. With that a pray to God to make him successful.

A chef working at a well-known restaurant often tries to serve his best, but he too has his limitations. A passion burns in him to work in such an atmosphere where his creative rights are not crippled by the menu card.

It’s his most passionate desire to get a job in such a place where he can not only excel but get to know more and more about food and cooking it.

A teacher who is given the job of managing and teaching a class often feels suffocated in the bye laws and encumbrances of the syllabus. Many teachers often join colleges where despite a syllabus being marked by the university, professors have a free reign in teaching the subjects.

But very very few teachers get to teach the subject matter in which they excel. A teacher’s desire to teach a student who understands the subject at the same frequency as him/her and appreciates it, is the teacher’s passionate desire.

A person who likes to dance would want to show his/her skill to the world. It’s his/her passionate desire to do so. That person practices regularly, works hard and waits for the day when he/she can do it. With time the desire grows stronger and stronger.

Any person, who has a desire knows what it feels like when it is not fulfilled.

But with desires the problem is that there is always a saturation point where a person can either make it or break it.

If that person can make it then good otherwise he/she has to wait for the chance to come again.

When the fire of passion burns inside the heart, that shapes up a man or woman. Day after day it takes a form and the want increases. When it reaches it’s peak point at that time a person can excel in either having that desire fulfilled or in showing it to the world, but it only happens when the desire is within one’s reach.

It’s good to have a desire and if it’s a passionate desire try hard to achieve it provided that the desire is good.

Jinks and Kinks, The Siblings Who Punch.

Two brothers aged seven years and three and half years, were diamonds and balls of love in their mother’s eyes. Their household name was Jinks (the elder son) and Kinks (the smaller child).

She had a sister who would often visit them and on her frequent visits she would bring clothes and toys for Jinks. Now this had happened more than three times, so one day Jinks asked her-“Aunty, why are you always bringing toys and clothes for him? I too am a small child.”

The aunt understood the situation and replied-“The next time I will definitely bring something for you.”

The boy nodded his head and ran off.

The next day, the aunt came again and this time she had bought a toy and a pair of shirt and pant for Jinks and with that she had brought for him a bag of chocolates. On seeing the chocolates, he opened the bag and started munching the chocolates. The aunt-“Please share some with your little brother.” His little brother Kinks was playing on the cot. Jinks forcefully thrusted two chocolates in his hand. The little child was completely startled. Their mother had seen this happen.

So, that afternoon, she explained him-“Why such a behaviour? Your brother is after all your brother.”

Jinks -“Everyone loves him the most. I don’t get chocolates, gifts, clothes and other things as much as he does.’’

The mother replied-“You must not think like that. I love you both equally.”

Jinks-“No, you don’t. You love him the most.”

The mother gave it a thought and said-“Will you teach your brother?”

On hearing this Jinks looked at his mother’s face with intensity and asked-“Teach him what?”

Jinks had started learning addition and subtraction in school and could count upto sixty. After that he used to get confused.

So, the mother said-“You can teach him addition and subtraction. You can be his teacher and he will be your pupil.”

Jinks felt excited and said-“Ma, I will start teaching him tomorrow onwards.”

The next day morning, he began teaching his small brother addition.”

Jinks-“If I give you one chocolate and then if I give you another one, then how many chocolates do you have?

Kinks replied-“One chocolate with another chocolate, I don’t know bhaiyya (big brother).”

Jinks-“  Two. The answer is two.”

The smaller child-“Two.”

The Jinks had a bad habit of over doing things or in this case over teaching Kinks maths.

Now Jinks started teaching Kinks subtraction, which went as follows:-

Jinks-“If I give you ten apples and then take three away then how many remains?”

Kinks-“ Ten apples……………………..I don’t know bhaiyya (big brother).”

Jinks-“ Seven apples remain. You don’t understand anything. I have to teach you a lot.”

Jinks-“Suppose I give you one, two, three toys and then take them back from you, then how many toys remain?”

Kinks thought a while and answered-“Nada. Nothing remains.”

Kinks had learnt the word “Nada” from his aunt and knew that it meant zero.

To explain Kinks properly about subtraction, Jinks gave him three toys and asked him to give them back to him.

Jinks-“Remember that give me back the exact number of toys which I have given you.”

Kinks returned him the toys and sat quietly on the bed. His big brother was a big question mark to him.

The next day while teaching Kinks maths, suddenly Jinks hit him three punches in the back and fled from the room.

Kinks began crying and his mother rushed to see what had happened.

Jinks had fled to his friend’s house and when he came back in the evening he tried to enter through the back door, but with God’s grace he was caught by his father and a resounding slap was struck across his face by his father. Kinks had developed fever as the punches had been hard on him and the doctor had to be called.

When he went inside the room where his brother was resting, he saw that his brother was lying on the bed with a wet cloth on his head. His aunt was taking care of Kinks and she didn’t even look at him.

He went near his brother and his little brother turned towards him.

Kinks-“How may punches should I give you brother?”

Jinks-“What?!”

Kinks-“You told me give you back the exact number of things that I give to you. So, how many punches should I give you?”

Hearing this words from his smaller brother, Jinks ran from the room and went straight to his mother in the kitchen-“Mother, you know what Kinks told me?”

Mother didn’t speak to him at first, but on seeing his fallen face, she asked-“What did he say?”

Jinks-“ He told me that how many punches should he give me?”

Mother-“Did he? Attaboy! Brilliant boy”

Jinks-“What?! You are taking his side?”

Mother-“I must. After all you hit him without any reason. So, if he hits you back then that will teach you a lesson.”

Jinks face fell on hearing his mother’s words and whispered to his mother-“Ma, I am actually a coward. I don’t have any courage.”

Mother-“Yes, that’s what you are. A coward. Now go and study.”

The End.

A Team Of Orange Uniform Wearing Cricket Players.

As it was Sunday, it was cricket day in my locality and many teams were playing cricket at the stadium near my house. In the afternoon, a whole group of boys wearing orange uniform came on the field. They were a new group of players and nobody bothered about them.

They gathered on the pitch, formed a group hug and for nearly thirty minutes were in deep discussion about how they proceed with their game, when few pitch care takers came and shooed them off the pitch.

They couldn’t play cricket but instead catch-catch with the ball for ten minutes and then they left the field on their bikes.

Their whole paraphernalia of wearing an orange uniform and coming all suited up simply got wasted as they had to vacate the pitch.

On the other hand they did a good by leaving the field because after half an hour or so, the caretakers of the pitch began watering it and nearly everybody playing somewhere here or there in the stadium, had to leave and go out.

The caretakers had a point. Sunday afternoons are for lunch and taking rest. Not for playing cricket while Sun is glaring over your head.

Marvel Of Being A Kid.

The Marvel of Being a Kid is astounding and highly blissful. The love got from ma and baba is beyond love. It is love in its purest form.

Being a kid gives a sort of freedom which can’t be got and expressed as you turn into an over growing bulb of an adult. With adulthood, it feels as if someone has cut your roots and stems and given you a load of homework, which only includes rubbish and money.

In childhood you can play with a toppling car, pilot an aeroplane and be the master of anything you wish to be. But with over dangling adulthood, you have to bite and eat that sugarcane which has no sweetness, only boredom, over load of burdens plus food also becomes an issue. If a person works from 10 to 10 in alternating shifts, then he is bound to miss anything and everything good happening at home. Many people with regular jobs have to work much beyond that time limit. Some people have to work from 08:30 am till 01:00 am. That means total sixteen hours job with thirty minutes being considered for tea, lunch and dinner break as their responsibility doesn’t allow them to take a break.

As a kid, you can go anywhere, adjust anywhere, play anywhere and be everywhere. Happiness of being a child is unlimited. School is also place for playing and having tiffins except studying. Nowadays, studying in school is done through mobile apps, so you can consider that time as time gone into the drain. Better let the children play, draw, sing and be ready for their tough and competitive future.

The ability to run as fast as you want remains only in childhood. As you grow different sorts of adults, various physical pains such as muscle pain, back pain, leg pain begin and they are like the recurrent EMIs of banks. To get rid of them you need to pay dollops and dollops of money to doctors and to the medicine shops.

The best thing which is the wonder and marvel of being a kid is nothing is out of your reach. Not even GOD.

If anytime, time permits then become a child for few hours and relive those childhood moments by playing a game of cricket, football or simply by singing out your voice in the bathroom.

Be happy.

Compulsory/ OR.

“It’s compulsory and you have to do it.” How many times have you heard this line?

Anything which is compulsory doesn’t mean that it is justified to be compulsory.

Being compulsory simply means that it is mandatory whether you like it or not.

In a situation of compulsory or “OR”, the most fun occurs when both of them are at loggerheads with each other.

Sometimes “OR” contradicts the compulsory tag.

It’s most serious effect can be seen in question papers, where the first three questions are compulsory and the rest of the ten questions go with “OR”.

But the real fun happens when the student hasn’t prepared either for the compulsory question and the “OR” question is nearly as same as the compulsory question. Generally this is done by teachers who like to select two questions from the same page, topic or chapter.

While travelling to many places, the question of “compulsory/ OR” comes into play.

Suppose you are travelling to a hill top restaurant, therefore it is compulsory for you travel by a cable car, as there is no other mode of transportation.

While travelling to various island destinations, the most valid form of travelling is air travel. Sometimes the only option is air travel.

The “OR” form of travel would entail travelling by ship for many days altogether.

While travelling to very few island countries, you have to take air taxi to reach the destination island after you land at the main airport. The air taxis can take off and land on water. They are also known as amphibious planes.

In a game of basketball you don’t have the option of kicking the ball, while in football you can’t touch the ball.

In cricket you can kick the ball but there remains a chance of you being given out as L.B.W. plus there are few regulation about kicking a ball, so there is an “OR” option in cricket but the danger remains.

So, one has to be very mindful while choosing either of the “compulsory\ OR”. It’s better to be sure while selecting either of the two, or one can remain hanging between them.
