Busy, Very Busy.

Busy, because my friends aren’t picking up my calls.

Busy, because yesterday was my exam, yet I didn’t study.

Busy, for today is a beautiful day.

Busy, as Mr. Sun is shining very brightly.

Busy, as Ma is making cookies and warm sweet bread for me, herself, Baba and God.

Busy, for I have to go on a walk and my shoes are giving me tantrums.

Busy, as the sweets are less tastier than what they used to be.

Busy, because though I have studied in the past, I have to study again.

Busy, for cricket is my favourite game yet I have to watch kites flying.

Busy, because I have been singing a song which isn’t “ping pong pong”.

To be worthy, to be happy, to be fruitful, always remain busy, for its easy -to be lazy but very hard to be busy.

N.B. Can’t you see that I am busy?

A Game Of Cricket.

It’s Sunday and the boys are playing cricket in a half made stadium.

Just a few weeks back a huge tournament of cricket took place and many boys from our locality took part in it.

That tournament was held at a professional level.

Real and qualified umpires, halogen lights (with generators) for night matches, continuous English and Hindi commentary by professional commentators and at the end of the match, a man of the match award.

Since, this tournament has taken place, the boys are constantly in the “tournament mode”.

Teams have been formed and today being Sunday, the whole field has been divided into parts and the matches have been going on continuously and simultaneously.
At nearly 14:00 hours, nearly all the players had to go home for lunch, but two teams whose game had just began at that moment were still playing on the field.

After the first half of their game got over, all of them had group lunch of sandwiches and chips. They started playing again at about 15:00 hours.

Seeing their game of cricket, two things came to my mind. They are:-

1.When I was a small, I would request Ma sometimes that Ma please let me play for a bit more time.

2.To have a picnic and a game of cricket with friends is a truly wonderful feeling.

Simple old days were beautiful, excellent, marvellous and full of God’s grace.

Nowadays, friends and a game of cricket, both of them are available (nearly) only on mobile apps. Friends on Facebook and twitter and cricket in android cricket games on phones.

Whenever possible, spend some time with friends and play a game of chess, checkers, Ludo or cricket. Try to relive those old days. It would simply bring back those memories.

Experiencing a Dream.

Dreams are a common feature in any child, man or woman.

In sleep, we all think, aspire and soar skies which we may or may not achieve.

A dream is something which is simply unimaginable, both thinkable and unthinkable and even good and bad.

Dreams, many psychologists and philosophers say that whatever occurs in our conscious mind throughout the day, especially if we worry/think or go in over drive over some matter then that is what is displayed as video/ audio or a series of images at a time when we are asleep in our beds by our sub conscious minds.

But in truth, psychologists or philosophers are unaware of ABC of sub conscious mind. To reach it, you have to be in sync with yourself.

Our brains at that time (when we are asleep) functions as a video subscription channel whose subscription control and its remote are in God’s hand.

Sometimes the remote changes hands and it maybe controlled by someone known or unknown to us.

God very clearly states that dreams are more meaningless than imaginations. I solemnly agree with him. Imaginations only work when we are kids or have a lot of dough. Common man can only hope that something good happens.

Dreams are a source of unknown treasure which in times of hope, happiness and despair can not only uplift a man, but can show him the past, present and the future.

Suppose a man likes cricket and one day he couldn’t watch his match as his boss had kept him busy. That whole evening he was grumpy and at night he went to bed grumpier as they only show highlights when the original match gets over.

Now see how beautiful is God’s grace, the time when that man goes into a premium deep sleep, at that time he dreams of that same cricket which he had missed and vividly dreams about it. When wakes up early in the morning, he is happy and freshened up. But the sad part is that he didn’t experience his dream.Only he became happy and felt uplifted after seeing that cricket match in his dream. This is a sort of happy dream.

But experiencing a dream is something which happens rarely.

Now one may say that it is not rare. But believe me, it is truly very very rare. It’s so because dreams barely touch reality. Reality is what happens when we are wide awake and rocking. Our sweats are proof of that. Dreams don’t have relation with hard work. On the other hand experiencing it is a far away reality and achievement.

In very much God’s truth, I am not a master of this topic. But what God says is true in each and every level. Be it the smallest of the small or the highest of high.

To experience a dream, a dream must be in sync with illusion. Illusion is that falsity which rules over everything under the sun and inside and above our heads. That’s why it is illusion.

But my friends in heaven are kings of it and over it.

To truly experience a dream you have to know how to walk over a petal of rose. I know the question arises that how can a human walk over a petal of rose? It’s impossible and unrealistic. But that’s how dreams are. The moment when you can walk over the petal of a rose then not only you can experience dreams but also have mastery over it.

The irony over here is that we all know that we can’t walk over a petal of rose, in the same way experiencing a dream is impossible to that very extent. But with God’s grace anything is possible. But walking over a petal of rose may simply just not be possible even with God’s grace. Dreams may signify something with reality but even that is meaningless and is like a balloon which will pop at some time or the other.

When any dream occurs, the funniest thing is that we are same with that dream. Whatever happens in that dream, it is very much true and real for us. Sometimes dreams paradoxes reality and vice versa. You may even drive a car upside down in a dream and may even think that it is the right way to drive. You may dream that you have become the highest paid star of the century and in your dream, you are awarded with the “best actors award”, you get an overwhelming applause, people congratulate you, the tabloids write marvelous articles about you and a big hot shot director has signed a big film with you and you are extremely happy . At that moment you feel that someone is jerking you and loudly calling out your name. Slowly your eyes and mind turns toward the source of voice and jerking and you see that your wife is trying to wake you up as you are already late for your office. All that stardom, awards and the tabloid fame has already gone down the drain.

In gist about experiencing dreams, we all know how babies laugh. By God’s grace and blessings you see a baby laughing in your dreams and soon after that a small baby is born to you and you see your own baby laugh. That’s when you see and truly experience your dream.

Best of luck. See if you have that lifetime experience of experiencing your dream, but don’t get trapped in illusion. Though nothing is without illusion.

Simply see the paradox. We are not without illusion and illusion is not without us. But we have that inbuilt grace from God that we can be on the same level with it. But that only a fewest of the few can do.

Playing Like a Child.

Childhood and games are God’s gifts to a newborn soul.

A nascent baby perceives the world through his/her parents. But as soon as he starts growing up, he starts playing with toys and nowadays in mobiles and tablets. When that kid is a bit more aged, he or she plays with toys which are designed according to their age.

A child’s best playmate is his/her mother and father. Especially mother. Mothers turn out to be such beautiful and natural playmates that none can second them in this.

But childhood slips away faster than sand slips from hand and with our growth into adolescence we all become a burden on ourselves.

Soon, we forget about all those beautiful days on which we have grown up.

But there comes a time when God gives everyone a chance to relive their childhood days.

Sometimes, maybe a younger brother or sister visits you at home and asks you to play with him or her.

Maybe you visit your aunt and uncle and in their house, a small kid is there who wants you to be his/her playmate and push his cycle or to play horse-riding with him.

The biggest chance to become a child again comes when one is bestowed with parenthood. Sometimes it is difficult to ascertain, who is the kid here. The kid or the parent? Many times fathers and mothers buy toys which they want to play themselves, under the cover of buying it for their child. It gives them a chance to relive, re-breathe those days which are gone with a generation behind. Even grandparents do the same.

Mobile games now a days, are a raging phenomenon, but more than young kids, you would find those boring adults playing games like “pop the ball or chess or cricket” continuously on their phones.

When android games became famous, it was mostly due to people aged above twenty to twenty five playing such games on their phones non-stop.

Senior citizens are the most prominent, regular, sincere, honest and continuous mobile game players. With the upgrade in technology, they too are upgrading themselves.

More than four to five times I have seen that a salesman, sitting behind the store counter is playing a game on his mobile, when the business remains idle or even when the shop or business is going on full swing.

Delivery boys too play games on their phones when they go to deliver the goods.

The main point which I want to bring in focus over here is, that frequently we say others on any big to small matter that-“are you a child?”

But more than often we we remain a child inside.

Those beautiful, warm and glowing days spent in mother’s lap, glowing and basking under her warmth and love are priceless. It simply can’t be matched. Additionally, dads too would be of a nature in which they would be softer than butter and more free flowing than water in those days. But, alas! With dads, the whole thing reverses and as we grow up, strictness and discipline emanates from them, like fragrance from sandalwood.

GOD, the highest of all, had indeed come on Earth and he too had faced many hardships, but in those hardships, games which he used to play in his childhood days, have been his friend and beautiful and happy memories forever.

I have a friend who used to ride horses and horse riding was his passion, hobby and God’s grace on him. It was the only game which kept him motivated, happy and jovial.

My maternal grandfather too used to ride horses, when he was young, extremely handsome and full of youth.

Another friend of mine would dress up as an adult when he was a young kid and that was his favourite pastime.

When I was small, Ma and Baba would play with me as if they both too are small children.

Nowadays, as a so called “adult” we have to try to earn money, so that we can survive and fill our tummies or stomachs, but one’s mind and soul still yearns for those wonderful, beautiful and excellent days when playing a game or two of cricket, football, badminton and table tennis would suffice to exist.

I don’t know about the latest version of children who are tech savvy and are miniature versions of adults, but the child inside me, Ma and Baba still wants to play, sing, laugh and if possible with God’s grace live a beautiful and happily life.

My father used to fly kites, play marbles, go for fishing, do cycling, and play football but with undue responsibilities and studies he had to leave everything and go to a hostel to study and immediately after getting his degrees (masters), he had to join a job, leaving his research work. Throughout his school he was a brilliant child and was always a scholarship getter. From Higher secondary till he continued his P.HD research, he used to get scholarships. His childhood which he largely missed out due to somebody else’s fault reflects largely in him whenever he sees a kite flying, a child playing marbles, someone fishing and sometimes he reminisces about his lost childhood in which to study he had to sell bananas.

Hope the child in you becomes alive and awakened on reading this post. To relive those beautiful days when we all were small, young, happy and full of energy, play a game of ludo or checkers with your parents, siblings or friends. If you win then proclaim yourself a winner. But if you lose don’t sulk, but be happy and play another round of that game. After all childhood were and are happy days. A true gift from God.
