The Stale Flowers.

The stale flowers are not to smell,

The stale flowers do not fall,

They have fallen a long time ago,

As they couldn’t soar the skies,

As they couldn’t reach the nigh,

The stale flowers were once beautiful,

The stale flowers were once flowers of which were all good,

But now they are being absorbed in the nature,

Rather than being trodden upon,

The stale flowers were once yellow,

Now that yellow is all gone,

It’s like they were never born,

Never been good,

Never have seen the day,

The flowers which were once yellow in colour

Are now nothing but stale.

Staleness is good, it doesn’t upset you.

Now what upsets is when nothing comes out of good.

Good remains good, state remains stale.

The flowers are naturally a part of the nature,

Whether they be stale or good,

It’s simply time and man’s play.

THE LOVE AND TRUTH.

The princess loved a pauper. How did she meet and love him? SHE has seen him in her garden  nurturing her flowering plants. In his hands plants laugh and flowers blossom.Once the princess wanted to make a bouquet for her father, the king.SHE went to the garden herself and ask that gardener to pluck and give the flowers of her choice.Gardener’s eyes were, bigger, calm, starry and soft.He obeyed her order. The princess could not forget his eyes and the majesty in his look. While making the bouquet, mesmerised princess arranged the flowers thinking him and the bouquet became a golden creation to describe. It was placed in the court. The king and the courtiers appreciated it again and again .In the private the princess asked her father to tie her knot with the gardener. The king called for the gardener with much power and kingliness like how could he dare to make her daughter even think of marrying him! The gardener entered the court room.

Lo! The king was also speechless seeing his humble and pure and majestic personality. He came to reality and asked the gardener to marry her daughter.

The gardener with his folded hands replied that he is already married and had two kids. The most of his toil that he can give to the king was his skill and love to grow more garden .The sound echoed in the court room even puzzled the courtiers who were enjoying the fun of the situation. Moreover he had to spend his nights in the cowshed tendering the cows as the milk supply that the king enjoys was from his seven cows collected by the milk agent and the smell from the cow shed what about that? Could the princess be able to withstand it? The King forgot wife and the kids of the gardener, but without them the gardener was incomplete.

KING saw horror in her daughter’s eyes and asked the gardener to resume his work. God save the gardener, his wife, kids and cows. The  princess married another golden king of her father’s choice.

Spring The Season Of Happiness.

Ever seen the first light of a spring morning? It’s as soft as a baby, lulling and soothing to watch. When white birds fly across the sky, the vast expanse of the morning light looks even more beautiful.

The season of spring is a time for foods. Variety, variations and different types of food are had.

It’s a time for studies. The exams are often nearby

Flowers are in bloom. Birds chirp and make a lot of beautiful sounds. The bird Cuckoo coos and gets irritated if anybody imitates. On further provocation they get more and more angrier. They search for their mate.

On mango trees, mango buds start appearing. The tree “Palash” is in full bloom in Spring.

Bougainvillea plant, Pink Cassia, Pink Poui, Jacarandha trees are also full of flowers during this time.

Spring is a time for celebration, for joy, for dance, for colours, for festivities, for opening your heart to happiness so that you (including me) can and will remain happy forever and ever.

Let’s welcome with wide open arms, though already more than ten days have passed since Spring has begun and to ride through it, listen to your favourite songs, see your favourite movies, draw your favourite drawing and be super happy.

Be happy and happy Spring.

N.B. Lot of birds can be sighted during this season.

Holidays Begin and Going for a Bus Ride.

Life is a big holiday. It is such a prolonging version of vacations that we miss out the fun that the big guys nearly and always have. They are always in their mojo and whatsoever may come nothing can poke and change them. So, simply to get a change and to be in good fresh air (which doesn’t exist anymore), we have decided to go on a trip.
The bags are ready, tiffins have been packed in air tight tiffin boxes and our tickets to holidays are ready. We are going to a place, where there is fresh air, the hotels are modest, not too extravagant and the prices are not steep. Food is moderately priced and the best thing is you can play any outdoor game whenever you want, be it football, cricket, badminton, etc.
The destination for which the tickets have been booked is nearly a half a day journey by bus or an eight hour journey by train.
Simply imagining the fun that I would have, my sports shoes are doing Zumba by themselves and my storybooks are super excited themselves. Ma has made three sorts of tiffins to be had on our way to that place and everything which exists is humming –“hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, holiday, holiday, holidays.”
It feels as if with us, our things too would enjoy the holidays.
The bus is a luxury bus. But there is nothing “ooh-aah” about it. Only, you can stretch your legs a bit if you want and the bus looks grand.
I have taken two apples in my pocket in case I get extra hungry on the way and we are now simply waiting for the journey to start. Once the bus starts it will make a stop only after two hours and you can’t attend nature’s call in between a bus journey.B y the way, who wants to even have nature calling, while you are in a bus? Once you have settled down nicely in your hotel room, then nature can call as much as it wants (limited edition only).
The big engine of the bus has started doing-“grrr,grrr and grrr”, signalling that it is hungry for a road trip and the trip begins.
We have just crossed the first hundred miles of our journey and that means nearly half of our journey. The bus did stop twice in between and no, we didn’t attend nature’s call as the nature didn’t come calling. Ma bought me a gems chocolate packet and a pack of salted peanuts and buttered croissants from a vendor who was selling his wares on the bus (when the bus had stopped).

Now the last leg of the journey is coming to an end and within five minutes we would reach our destination and the hotel people would have sent a cab over at the bus station for us and soon we would be taking a hot water bath and a medium sized nap to break all the tiredness of our journey.
Next day, when the Sun was looking baby sized, we went for a trek on the nearby hills and it was fun. The trek guide himself was trembling and seizing anything to which he could hold himself too. He had a big trouble keeping his feet steady on the hills and often would request us that if we would like to go for an enclosed bus tour in a nearby jungle.
We came back to the hotel at around two o’clock in the afternoon and went straight for lunch.
The food which we had the day before in the bus was excellent. The bus ride was so bumpy, but the food which Ma had prepared was so beautiful, that it helped me keep myself in me during the whole journey.

She had prepared three items, which were-Hakka noodles, buttered sandwiches with mind blowing stuffing and vegetable fried rice with pakodas. It felt as if the long journey was simply created so that I ( we) could enjoy the food prepared by her, thoroughly and throughout the time which the bus took to reach its goal.

holidays1.png
The lunch which we had was good, but not superb. The dal tadka was excellent and the buttered naan was done nicely. The rest of the food was good.
In the evening we had tea and samosa. After that we went for a little walk and before sunset we had visited a beautiful garden and the smell of the flowers over there made my mind hum and belt out a few evergreen melodies. In times like these, one needs to sit down on a bench and simply take the scenery in. The more you take it in, the more you can sustain yourself.

The dusk had spread its wings all over the sky and our friend the Sun had already gone and it was time for us to go back to our hotel room. The walk back to our hotel room was a bit slow as the garden had a beautiful effect on us and we strolled at a slow pace, leisurely.
Such are the beautiful things which are like small pebbles in God’s collection of pebbles.
The rest of the journey, I would narrate tomorrow.

Surprise For Ma777, Surprise For Me-My Florist Friend.

Surprise For Ma\\\777, Surprise For Me-My Florist Friend.

Early, in the morning Ma was in a grumpy mood.It was due to the constant pain in her legs. The pain was not going away, making ma more unhappy. So, to surprise her and to change her mood, I decided to arrange our dining table with flowers. Now flowers especially rose, cost more than two chicken burgers together and that too a single rose with a long big stem. What one does with that stem? Only God Almighty knows. It feels as if we are paying more for the stem than the for the rose and then there is another thing where the roses are of smaller size, but they still cost the same and after buying them, the florist will trim the roses to make it even more shorter. The florists are making a lot of dough simply by selling roses. Even if they sell twenty roses, their day is more than made.

I looked outside of the window and saw that rains were coming down heavily. But that did not deter me and I went out and got on an autorickshaw and I asked the driver to take me to the local market. He took me to that place, but I didn’t the know the exact location where they sold flowers at wholesale rate, so I requested a passerby to help me and he told me exactly where it was.I got down at the main road, as the shops were located in a narrow gully.

By this time it was raining very heavily and I was getting drenched despite being under an umbrella. When you walk on the street while rain is falling heavily, what happens is, that all the sounds get all mixed up. Why am I mentioning this? For, someone was calling my name aloud. That person had shouted my name atleast four times before I realized that it was my name that he was calling. I turned and looked back and saw that somebody wearing a raincoat was waving in my direction.I waited for the traffic to clear. As the traffic slowly cleared, a man having a cup of tea in this heavy rain was walking towards me. As he came forward, his face became clear and I realized that he was my college friend. We used to study together. He came upto me and we shook each other’s hands as greetings.

Friend-“What are you doing here? As soon as you got off from the autorickshaw, I noticed you.You haven’t changed a bit, particularly your walking style.”

Me-“I have come to buy flowers, from the wholesale market.I didn’t see you, but when you came near, I could recognize you.”

Him-“Flowers? You are here to buy flowers?”

Me-“Yes, for my mother.”

Him-“From here? In this heavy rain?”

I-“Ma likes flowers, so I have come to buy the flowers.”

Him-“By the way, are sure that you have come to buy the flowers?”

I-“This is the third time that you have asked me about the flowers.Neither did you ask me how I was and nor did I ask you how have you been. So, why go beating around the bush regarding the flowers?”

Him-“Actually, I work nearby and never before have I seen you here.”

I-“Yeah generally I come here in the evenings, so maybe you haven’t seen me before. But you still haven’t told me why you were asking about the flowers and where do you work? I don’t see a lab or an office or a factory nearby.”

Him-“This is the local market; so how can you see a lab, an office or a factory in this busy crowded place?”

Me-“Flowers?”

He felt a bit shy before telling me and then suddenly a big smile came upon on his face.

Him-.”I am a florist and I have a shop nearby.”

Me-“What???? You are a damn florist and you have a shop here? You never told me.”

Him-“Well, I felt shy.Studying to become a scientist and then becoming a florist, doesn’t go well with people.”

Me-“Well, it goes very very well with me.If I had the chance and opportunity, I too would have become a florist. Where is your shop?”

Him-“Just around the corner.”

I-“Let’s go there.”

We went to his shop.

Me-“This is your shop?”

Him-“Yes.”

Me-“But here used to be a goods shop and they used to specialize in kitchen wares.”

Him-“Oh! that was my dad’s shop.He has shifted his shop to the next lane, where he has bought a bigger shop and instead of renting this one out, he gave it to me, to excel in my own domain. While giving it to me, he said-“son, this is your opportunity.Have fun and always be honest and truthfull to your customers”.After pondering over a lot of options, I decided to become a florist.

Me-“That’s very very cool.”

Him-“Thanks.”

His shop had lilies, tube roses, roses, orchids, long stems for decoration and many other types of flowers.

What I found out, is that, the flowers were very cheap at his shop especially the roses and some were even cheaper than the wholesale market price.

Me-“The flowers are really cheap at your shop.”

Him-“At my shop you will find everything at nearly twenty five percent discount. Roses, are a different matter. They are at fifty percent off.”

I-“That’s simply excellent!”

Him-“I directly order them from Paradise nursery and my dad’s contact got me connected there, so they sell quite cheap to me and I don’t find any point in making a huge profit out of my customer’s pocket. So I sell flowers after keeping a small amount of profit.”

Me-“That’s truly noble of you.”

Him-“Thank you my friend.”

I asked him to pack different bunches of flowers with a rose of different colour centered in each one of them.Due to the low cost of flowers, I could buy many more within my budget.

After he gave me the bunches of flowers, I told him -“We both are students of science. You have become a florist and I am really proud that you done so and I am also proud for the fact that I could buy flowers from you.Thank you.”

Him-“I too am proud that I could bring a smile on your face, for we met after so many years.”

Me-“Do you still play gully cricket?”

Him-“No.They don’t invite me anymore. But sometimes the old fellows return and they ask me to do umpiring for them. But I blatantly refuse them. It’s either batting or bowling.Other than that I don’t know you.So, they have stopped inviting me even for umpiring.”

Me-“That’s very poor of them. This is how teams and friendships go for a toss.Atleast we could reconnect after so many years.”

Him-“Definitely true.Here’s a small gift for you.”

Saying so, he brought a very small bunch of three roses and said-“no charge”.

Me-“Thanks friend. You wait till I tell ma.She will be so happy to hear about you.”

Him-“Please,do give her my regards.”

Me-“I definitely will.”

Rains had subsided by then, but they started falling again very heavily.

Me-“I need to go immediately or I will not get any autorickshaw. Bye.Take care. We will meet again.”

Him-“Bye and take care.See there is an empty autorickshaw standing”

Fortunately I got that autorickshaw and rushed to my home and after washing my hands I arranged the bunches of flowers on the dining table.

Ma was resting in the bedroom, so I called out to her-“Maaaaaaaaaaaaa.”

Ma came out of the bedroom and the moment she saw those flowers, she became so happy that, she gave me a big kiss on my cheeks. She said-“my whole leg pain has gone away.” I was very very happy that her leg pain had gone away and I told her about my friend and she was very happy to hear that he had become a florist and all’s well that ends well. Ma decided that one day, together we would go to his shop and buy lots and lots of flowers.
