I used to have a friend who was a seafarer. Every vacation his family would go seafaring in a cruise ship to different countries.
As a result of continuous seafaring he would join the school
late by atleast a month or sometimes even more.
This used to happen every single year and nobody took any
note of the fact that he would join school late after the summer vacations, as
it was well known around the school that he and his family was away seafaring
to various countries.
Then my school got changed and there too I had a friend who would go seafaring to exotic locations as his hometown was a completely different location. It was most probably in Greece, so by default he had to do a lot of seafaring.
After I grew up, I came to know of a person, who used to be
an excellent seafarer. He had a huge estate by the sea in England and as his
home was by the sea .He was used to live by the sea, that sea faring became his
hobby, his passion and his past time. His skills at sea was marvellous and one
thing about any seafarer is that they know how to tie knots and save lives at
sea. They are courageous, bold and extremely well trained and most importantly,
they are self-trained.
Being a seafarer isn’t as easy as it seems. It’s a hard work
and journey sometimes needs to be done alone with the faith being completely on
one’s own self.
Happy Chinese New Year 2019. The Year of the Pig has begun today on 5th February 2019, Tuesday.
Celebrations have been going on throughout the world. I had done a course on Mandarin language few years back as it is one of the most spoken languages in the world. My dad had got a job after two weeks the new Chinese year had began three years back. The job was in Vietnam, where they celebrate it and while the celebrations go on, there are continuous holidays where in schools, colleges and offices(public and private) are closed for the new Lunar year.
The Lunar year which began today, is a considered an auspicious time, with people celebrating with fireworks, cleaning their house, to remove all bad vibrations from the house and to bring in good fortune and vibrations in their house. Its a time for prosperity, good fortune and celebrations.
Many countries such as Laos, Cambodia, China, Vietnam celebrate the Chinese New Year with grand festivities and yesterday was my mother’s birthday, so I am very happy that the Chinese new year has begun nearly on Ma’s birthday.
This morning I saw a small baby boy in his father’s embrace. The father had held his son firmly and softly while the son had kept his head on his father’s shoulder like a good child. The child couldn’t have been more than three years old and seeing that sight, my heart became overjoyed and immediately I told Ma, that I had just seen a small baby in his father’s embrace.
There was nothing unique in it, yet it felt unique. It simply touched my heart. Often babies bring a smile to your face, but seeing the father and his baby boy in embrace, it was a cheerful, happy and blissful moment for me. The child was basking and glowing in his father’s love, just like God’s and mother’s love. A father’s love makes a child grow and it is same with mother’s love. Fathers often turn out to be strict and bit over bearing, but their hearts are softer than melted wax.
Its just time and situations. Mostly to keep the families running, fathers have to act in a way which may seem strict and harsh, but their inner core longs for their children and family.
So true, that destiny is a false cover over truth and it is
false.
So true, that being puny but strong is good.
So true, that good is good and bad is bad.
So true, that we all fall asleep.
So true, that it is afternoon and Mr. Sun is doing hip-hop
over my head.
So true, that birds can sing.
So true, that cuckoos coo.
So true, that we all talk.
So true,, that when sometimes teams lose, then they win.
So true, that God loves us.
So true, that we fail to recognize his love.
So true, that his love keeps us alive.
So true, that we are his child.
So true, we are our parent’s child/children too.
So true, that paradoxes are both witty and funny.
So true, that irony stands without being loony.
So true, that more than often, loony are better than sane.
So true, that a proclaimed sane person is truly insane.
So true, that to drive, we need a bike or car.
So true, that have a bike or car, we need real money.
So true, that to earn money we need to work hard.
So true, that to work hard, we need to have a job or
business.
So true, that to go for a job or business, we need energy.
So true, that for having and getting energy, we need to have
food.
So true, that for having food, we need to prepare it.
So true that to have delicious and nutritious food, it needs
to be prepared by one’s mother.
So true, that football and table tennis are the best games
in the world.
So true, that being a doctor is a great responsibility.
So true, that true sportsman spirit comes in accepting
defeat rather than boasting about winning.
So true, that umpires are needed for umpiring.
So true, that referees can refer to correct.
So true, that we all need dictionaries.
So true, that dictionaries make our language understanding
and our life better.
So true, that everyone’s Ma and Baba loves them the most, barring a few ones and for them God exists!
So true, that love is a sustainable energy. Cultivate it
with love, honesty and truth and see its miracles.
So true, that love is God’s grace, without which the world
would fall, but to keep the engines running, let love grow in manifolds.
The truth is the thing which envelopes ourselves. To seek
and search it is divine but to stay with it is self.
Self and truth go hand in hand. Without truth, self becomes
no self and truth without self becomes false.
When false becomes the truth, we need to remind ourselves
about ourselves. When we will and when we can, then, nothing such as money,
greed, ego, talks, aggrandizement and status shall matter.
Only truth and love shall exist! Be with your own true self
as there is nothing truer than it.
I have a strong wish and desire to construct an Inn for
travellers.
There are many sorts of travellers, some who simply go on
with life and some who can’t find A, B and C while travelling.
There is a new type of trend in travelling and that is the
use of GPS and apps.
GPS only works in well-defined areas and in rural and
semi-rural areas it nearly almost always causes trouble and apps are often more
troublesome than being helpful.
The inn which I would construct would be located near a
highway.
The rooms in the inn will be designed in the same way in
which huts with modern amenities are constructed.
When guests enter any room in the inn, they will get the
effect of entering into a hut, where in the tiles would give the effect and
feel of soft and cold mud (as huts in rural areas are layered with mud as base).
The beds would be nice, soft and comfortable.
The walls would have paintings of rural lifestyles.
The corners of the room would be layered with artificial/
original hay to have a warm effect in the room.
The rooms would be cheap as to when a person goes for a travel
or tour, he or she doesn’t want to spend doles and doles of money on rooms
which claim to be second or third to Presidential suites but are not even equal
to a single non ac room in style, maintenance and needs.
Pilgrims often are in need of inns and guest rooms as many
of them travel on feet or are on continuous pilgrimage tour.
There would Be T.V. and air conditioning in each room.
The inn’s best feature will be a game room which will
consist a table tennis table, badminton area, basketball area, chess and few
arcade and video games. If possible a bowling alley too would be constructed.
If budget permits, I would like to construct an enclosed
swimming pool too.
At the highway side, a huge advertisement board would be
put, so that travellers are aware of the inn.
Last of all, the inn would be inaugurated by Ma and Baba and
if all goes well, then the inn too would run well.
The inn would have a built in restaurant which would serve
and feature low cost but excellently made and of superb quality food and drinks
(soft drinks, soda, and fresh fruit juices) but no alcohol.
We (Ma, Baba and me) would live at a room at the top of the
inn and run the inn beautifully and keep it well maintained.
The speciality of this inn is that the room and food costs
are cheap and highly affordable. If anything is not made for the common man then
that thing has no value.
So, the inn would open for one and all and if the whole
project of constructing and running it becomes a reality then it’s a dream come
true.
Dreams which are beautiful and can be realized for life,
they are the ones on which human foundations can stand.
