Till the Day Came To An End.

Till the day came to an end,

All had gone to their homes.

Dinner was ready,

With beautiful salads and soups.

The offices had closed for the day.

The people who had stayed behind,

Were now in a hurry to reach their homes.

The warm hearth and the red glowing fireplace,

Was waiting for them.

Till the day came to an end,

All the homeworks were done.

Playrooms were arranged back to their proper place by the mothers.

The studies for the exams were done,

The children are asleep in the beds,

The bed time storirs were already said.

As it is well past bed time,

The small babies were deep asleep in their mother’s arm.

Till the day came to an end,

God had blessed us all,

So sleep tight,

As the fairies may come and spread their brilliant light.

Looking At The Birds.

The birds flew.

I looked at them.

They didn’t wait,

As it was early in the morning.

After an hour or two,

They came back,

And ate the biscuits,

Which I had kept for them.

Looking at the birds,

My heart gladdened up.

The birds were happy,

So were the little ones.

Looking at the birds,

The Sun became full of them,

Be them parrots, crows or sparrows.

The day came more into horizon,

And slowly they dispersed to their own nests or destinations,

I kept looking at them,

Till their whole flock got together,

To share their collections.

I kept looking at them,

Till the day came to an end.

Travelling For A Tea Party.

Joshua was in Spain a month or two back. Now he is in Germany. He tells me that travelling in Euro rail is a cool experience.

His friend Jacob has been given permanent posting at Milan, where Jacob’s wife Simoli was living.Jacob and Joshua are good friends and colleagues. When the offer to be a part of the Germany office came, Joshua was happiest as Jacob wanted to be transferred to Milan.

Soon enough all their friends and office colleagues decided to go to Paris for a small holiday ,where Simoli’s father , a big business tycoon had decided to give a big tea party. It was an honour for all to visit his house and when they did arrive they were given French refreshments and with the tea fine croissants were served too.Simoli’s father appeared between all for few minutes, said a few words appreciating his daughter and son-in-law and then disappeared into his big mansion to do some important deals with few other industrialists.

Simoli apologized for her father’s absurd behaviour and said -“Dad is crazy.I am surprised that he even made a guest appearance. “

She appeared a bit sad.Jacob cheered her up a bit.

All tried to cheer her up and they mostly suceeded.

Soon they all left her mansion and visited a place or two and at night they stayed at the big mansion.

The mansion was so huge that they saw no one in it except themselves and the caretakers.

The next day they all had fun and in the evening they left for Milan via Euro rail.

In short it was a happy journey and trip for all.

Heart Felt Love.

Heart felt love is what I felt when I saw you. You are the beautiful dish of fried rice and sweet and sour chicken.

It is the same love which I felt when the rays of the early morning touched my face.

The love which overwhelms my heart is the love for my Ma,Baba and God.

For love is infinite it can’t be measured.

Only a dimwitted person would try to do so.

Most people who proclaim to be in love, are fools, as they try to gauge love as if it is a physics experiment. If it could be read as a reading on a barometer, most lovers and their beloved would have been found to be slopping in the department of love.

Love’s department is in God’s control for any love is unsustainable without him.Love stems from him, it stays in him, with him and flourishes with him.

Heart felt love is what a mother feels for her son or daughter. What God has for his children is unbounded, infinitely beautiful and all loving love.

Love is a precious commodity whose value is only known to God and a mother and father. It takes a lot of time for the human brain to understand what love is? Out of billions and trillions of people , very few , when shone with God’s light understand what heart felt love is.

It’s a gift which very rarely can be possessed. It is a treasure which requires no chest .Only the ability to perceive it and receive it is needed. If you have heart felt love in you for someone, you don’t need to go fishing deep inside your heart or to the bottom of your heart or even for a holidays in the deep blue islands. Simply be and let love flow.

Rodrick’s Father.

Rodrick’s father was a very strict man. He would run his house on strict discipline. An inch of deviation and the deviating person would have to face his ire. Now Rodrick was his darling son but Mathew (Rodrick’s father) was stricter with him as Rodrick was a growing kid and he felt the children who are growing up need more discipline and regularity in their work and life.

The rules which Rodrick had to follow were:-

*Getting up at 5:00 am early in the morning.

*Doing exercises for about an hour.

*Then performing the Surya Namaskar.

*Before going to school revising what had been taught the previous day.

*After coming home from school, an hour of sleep.

*Two hours continuous study and then playing in the evening for an hour.

*Watching on T.V. for thirty minutes.

*Computer games for thirty minutes.

*Then again study for two hours.

*Have dinner.

*Read story books for thirty minutes.

*The go to bed at 10:30 pm.

This was Rodrick’s daily routine without a variation.

With that there were few other rules also. Rodrick couldn’t have chocolates, ice creams in which chocolate was present and any chocolaty food. This was his father’s rule.

On the other hand Rodrick loved having chocolates. His heart would go out to the chocolates but he was helpless. In this matter of chocolates, Rodrick’s mother was his best friend. She understood that he liked chocolates, so she would take him on shopping trips and would buy him big chocolate bars and Rodrick had to finish up the bar of chocolate before reaching home. She would tell him-“Finish it up quickly, don’t take it home.” Rodrick would listen to her like an obedient child.

Even at school whenever somebody would give him a toffee or a chocolate, he would have it in the tiffin break.

It was a sad situation for him.

One day Rodrick was playing in the evening with a tennis ball which he used to carry with him to school. His mother had bought him two tennis balls. So he had kept one in the drawer and the other was the one with which he was playing. That night he went to sleep without putting the ball back into the bag. At nearly twelve when he woke up as he was feeling restless, he remembered that he had forgotten to keep the ball back into the bag. When he got up, he could hear television sounds. He knew that his father used to watch late night movies, so he didn’t bother. When he was searching for the ball, he came near the drawing room and heard the sound of something being unwrapped. He took a peep from behind the curtains (he didn’t the have the courage to look directly inside the drawing room where his father was watching the television) and what did he see? He saw his father unwrapping a cadbury chocolate bar. He couldn’t believe his eyes, so he took a closer look and he clearly saw his highly strict father taking a big bite of the chocolate bar.

Rodrick immediately rushed to his mother, woke her up and took her to the drawing room.

On seeing her husband amazingly eating chocolate, she thought that she was dreaming, but when she saw him taking bites after bites she realized that she was not dreaming.

She entered the room. Her husband, who upon noticing his wife and son in the room, looked very startled. She asked him-“You are eating chocolates? You always advise us not to eat chocolates and yet you are eating chocolates like a school kid.”

Mathew-“I was hungry. So I was eating it. Today in my office, a colleague gave us all a bar of chocolate each as his son had scored well in the exams.”

His wife-“So? It’s your rule that chocolates are bad for teeth, then how can you break it when we all follow it religiously.”

Mathew-“For eating chocolates, you need strong and mature teeth, which only I have.”

His wife-“That’s plain hypocrisy. I know that when you were little you had lost two of your teeth to cavities due to eating chocolates, yet you deviate from your own law.”

Mathew-“See that’s the reason I strongly say no to chocolates.”

His wife-“Yet at midnight you are eating it. From today onwards there shall be no ban on chocolates. My son can have atleast half a bar of chocolate everyday and I shall take care, that he doesn’t develop cavities.”

Mathew knew he was defeated, so he regained his role as the head of the family and in a solemn and strict voice-“Do as you please, but please let me watch the remaining part of the movie in peace.”

Rodrick hugged his mother, for he knew that  from that day onwards, no one would stop him from eating chocolates at his home and Rodrick’s mother was also very happy, as she too liked chocolates and often thought of using them in her dessert dishes, but refrained from doing so as her husband had banned it.

The whispers said that even Mathew was happy as he too liked chocolates, but couldn’t eat them as he was afraid of his own built up rule.

After this Mathew became more of a friend to his son and their relationship was thousand times better and chocolaty.
