The boy playing on the green field.

It was winter time.Winter had not settled in properly and was keeping every one guessing. A boy who had come to Worcestershire on vacation was feeling very alone and lonely as his sister couldn’t accompany him on the trip. She had to take extra summer tution, hence she was staying with her aunt while her parents and her kid brother were vacationing in the Uk. She used to play for the district football team and was the vice-captain of her team and she had taught her little brother the game. The boy’s name was Joseph and he was five and half years old. Joseph and his family were staying at his uncle’s home, who is a business consultant over there. His home was a large estate with a green field twice as big as a football field. While Joseph was on the way to the airport he was very sad that his elder sister wouldn’t be going on vacation with him. His sister knew this beforehand, so at the airport toy shop, she had bought him a football made by a well known sports company and told him-“whenever you feel sad, you play with this ball at uncle’s home.”

So, after reaching there they contacted her the next morning but her brother didn’t speak with her. The next day also he didn’t. Then the third day evening his mother gave him the ball and asked him to play to with. He went outside and started playing with it, on the big green field. He would kick the ball and it would go far away and he would run after it and again kick it and this went on for about two hours. But, that night also he didn’t speak with his sister. The next morning without having his breakfast he went to play with the ball and a huge, big surprise was waiting for him.

He couldn’t believe his eyes. There were two authentic goalposts on the two edges of the field and in the middle of the ground his sister was standing wearing his favourite football jersey and her both hands were outstretched towards him and he went straight into her arms and embraced her and started crying noisily on her shoulder. Her new jersey became spoilt with nose goo.

Joseph-“Thanks, Mary for coming. I was feeling very lonely”.

Mary-“That’s why I came over. I knew you were missing me. So, I took the next earliest flight available. But my flight was delayed at the stop over destination, thus I was late. Now stop crying and go and have your breakfast. See Ma is laying down the breakfast.”

Joseph-“No breakfast. Only goal.”

Saying so, he kicked the ball into the goalpost and ran to have his breakfast.

Roasted Sesame Bagel With A Cup Of Brewed Coffee.

The rainy weather comes in splashes and rain drops and in many forms and formats and with it, it brings an uncanny desire to have something tangy while watching the outside rain.

Just imagine the weather turning rainy and the sky a darker shade of grey. Thunder rumbles across the sky and at a distant place you can see the lightning come down on earth. The chill of the weather enwraps you and you feel the need of a subtle heaters’ heat. That moment is the precise time to have a roasted sesame bagel with a cup of strongly brewed coffee. It is best enjoyed with evening rains. The coffee shouldn’t be bitter otherwise a remnant taste of the coffee would be lingering in your mouth.

Don’t forget to thank yourself for enjoying those moments in the self.

Pat yourself on the back for taking the busy time out of your daily schedule to enjoy the rains.

N.B. –With one roasted bagel none of our hearts and tummies are ever filled. At least two to four bagels should be had to feel the satisfaction of having had a bagel in monsoon.

Actors are like us.

Not all actors are superstars nor do they require all the stardom or the paparazzi  to follow them each and everywhere. There are many and many and many and many different actors who are people from very common facets of life and they keep on acting and continue acting till the very end of their lives, whether they get recognition or not;it doesn’t matter at all.

They are like a all state team vying to play for the regional team and if anyone of them is lucky, that person might play for the internationals.

It goes on like this- plays- theater – low budget movies- normal movies to the mega blockbusters.Progress in an actor’s life happens in a chain reaction and  successful few chosen ones, can cut across the mass and make and keep their mark forever.

Reverting back to the main topic on hand, many actors who do plays, yatras (plays which go on for three-four hours) and theaters, often bring out their natural behaviour in their acting. As they enact better than others, they are often selected for plays.

Dialogue delivery, word pronunciation, diction and certain acting skills also matter but their natural ability to constitute and to do justice to the script is what makes them heroes.

Now one such actor was selected to play a supporting roll in a medium budget film which later went to become a mega blockbuster, which lead to the actor being offered many roles in the same position in many main stream movies.

Still after acting in many big hit movies his character and acting style has not changed even a bit.He still has the simplicity, innocence and uniqueness of an actor who knows that at the end of the day he has to go back home and eat home made food and spend time with his family and share his happiness or sadness with them as will they with him.

His dancing skills are that of a common man dancing at a marriage function or at any other function. The ability to break into a jig as soon as required is what makes him a good spontaneous dancer. The quality to produce emotions of anger, sadness, frustrations and heartbreak are God-gifted onto him.

What I learned from watching his movies is that any man or woman can touch the sky but after touching it he or she has to land back on home land. It’s like completing a home run.You can’t simply hit a ball into the stands and wait for God Almighty to complete the run.You need to do that yourself. I also learnt the fact that most of them are humans, just like us.

Waffles

Chocolate Themed Waffles with Bread Buns.

Few days ago, I had the liberty of buying chocolate themed waffles from a world famous waffles shop. Those chocolaty, crunchy waffles were excellent to have. They were laced with ganache and topped with Belgian chocolates. One bite and you will feel that you have reached the gates of heaven and with another bite you will feel that you have entered heaven and with a few others you will feel that you have settled down in the biggest condo in heaven. But then what happens is that everything starts getting boring. It is the same with the waffle also.Halfway into the chocolate themed waffle and you will feel that it needs something else. Therein comes those sweet bread buns.Just buy them from any bakery store and munchingly and chillingly have them with the chocolate waffle and you will definitely feel that permanent residency of heaven has been granted to you.

Adios! Happy Eating.

INTERNATIONAL TIGER DAY.

On 29th July, international tiger day was celebrated. Tigers are scary and dangerous beasts. But they are scarce in number and the need to protect them is extremely important. Have you seen them in a zoo? In a zoo they are like caged animals, but in any wildlife sanctuary they are free and roam on their own command and will.I have seen tigers many times in my life, in zoos and in wildlife sanctuaries. The Royal Bengal tigers are extremely famous with people world wide.Sunderban in South 24 Paraganas is a place to visit, as it is famous for Royal Bengal Tigers.
