The Golden Seat.

The golden chair was of our sir.

The silver benches belonged to,

My fellow offenders.

Only I had been caught naughty and not truthful.

He called my parents,

And asked them to care about.

Only I did not throw the paper balls.

When he was back at us and wrote on the blackboard,

Tough and very tough sums without giving a stop,

From there only he would ask “Do you follow my kids?”

By that time my friends had already made

The teaching gap with nice paper mesh.

He would turn back and say “You will never change.”

“Yes sir, we will definitely do when we will be of your age.”

The Storm.

Storm was brewing up,

Strong winds were blowing.

Nature was showing it’s angry form,

Which could have been devastating.

Upon seeing those winds,

We became scared,

With folded knees,

We prayed to God.

A storm means destroyed shanties,

A storm means a swelled sea,

Storm means uprooted trees.

Again ten-fifteen minutes passed,

We prayed more sincerely and fervently to God.

Again ten-fifteen minutes passes,

Slowly the storm abated,

We heaved a sigh of relief,

Cold winds started blowing,

The force of mind,

Blew the storm.

A Sailor’s Chest.

I am a sailor’s chest,

On the ocean bed,

Coral reefs all around,

In the depth of the Atlantic.

Often I cry for bright sunrise,

The owner’s name is written on the side of mine,

Closed for time.

The mosses grew over me.

A group of small fish came along with waves,

Past and ate them all for me.

A big ship passed and I got a lift.

In the crest of a coral reef,

I cried to God, please take me up.

And make me all out of this.

I am a tick-tock watch.I am golden.

I am his clothes and diaries.

I am a lot of letters, We are gems,

We are papers and pens of him.

You were Mr.Brand,

The sailor indeed.

But your badge was golden.

As was me.

Twenty five years came by.

I was a thing of thee.

Two divers came and searched around,

Could get me out of the sea.

I was laden with his emotions.

Now I am fine.

Oh! My golden divers.

Who made me happy.

By packing me in the cardboard box,

They sailed again For Lisbon.

Address was written on my side.

Mr.Brand was still alive,

When told about me.

Came and hugged and cried all through,

Forgetting the time and the sea.

Searched and when the locksmith came,

He made me very happy.

A Baby’s Laughter.

A baby’s laughter is truly divine. It can’t be made, it can’t be forced, it has to be natural.

A baby’s laughter can cure a person of all troubles. It is a medicine whose reach is beyond and unknown.

Having a baby in a house is a gift from God. The light and happiness that they spread is infinite and unimaginable.

A baby’s laughter is a grace which parents unknowingly bestow upon them.

Be happy listening to a baby’s laugh and become a baby yourself.

Went For A Ride.

We had gone for a ride. After nearly travelling three blocks I asked my father to stop the car. There was a McDonald’s nearby and they were offering ice creams at truly cheap rates. Baba stopped the car and I got down and stood in the line to buy ice cream. The line was big. Apparently everyone felt the thirst for ice creams and needed to buy them urgently.

After nearly waiting for ten minutes, I could place my order. The man serving the ice creams was quick at his work. He first made the waffle, moulded it into a cone, served vanilla ice cream into and added strawberry slurry on top of it. I thanked the man after I took the ice creams from him.

The first taste of the ice cream was exotically divine. I simply sat down on a bench and so did Ma and Baba. The ice cream’s taste gave us a peep into heaven’s beautiful garden where all good souls have a rest after a day’s hard work. The outing became more beautiful and some day when God takes us together back to his abode, we shall definitely visit that garden where only happiness resides and birds sing as sweetly as the morning Sun shine.
