Marvellous.

Marvellous is this creation.

Marvellous is the handiwork of the creator.

Marvellous is the Sun,

Who gives us all infinite light.

Marvellous is fresh water,

As without water,

This creation would not have sustained.

Marvellous are mother and father,

Who are our Gods on Earth.

Marvellous is the rose.

Marvellous is the marble balls,

With which we all have played.

Marvellous are the chips,

Marvellous are macaroni and cheese,

Which we eat with delight.

Marvellous is mathematics,

Which has confused us all.

Marvellous is food,

Which subsides our hunger.

Marvellous are the tech gadgets,

Which have made our life so easier,

Still yet difficult.

Mrvellous are newspapers,

Which hardly give us true news.

Marvellous are the creams,

Which make us fairer and brighter,

Yet dull.

Marvellous are the board marks,

In which to excel we spent day and night studying like mads.

Yet when the results come,

Very few get the marks which they want.

Marvellous are the jobs,

Which only extol us without paying much.

Marvellous is Ma’s love. Much more than that it is.

So is Baba’s love.

Love is most marvellous which heals us all.

Marvellous is time,

Which doesn’t wait for anybody.

Yet it is still,

Yet ticking.

Marvellous are Sai Baba Of Shirdi and Meher Baba,

Who are God.

Marvellous itself is marvellous,

As very few are truly are.

My Meher Baba And Sai Baba Of Shirdi.

Meher Baba is the “Avatar of the Age.” At each end of a time cycle, an Avatar takes birth on earth. The journey which we had with Baba is known only to us. Baba is truly God, whom very few know, but he is and he always will be. To whom all of the creation bows, is Meher Baba, Khuda, Parvardigar and Jesus on Earth. Sai Baba of Shirdi Is Parvardigar. Pardardigar means “the protector”. He is the father of the whole creation. It’s his grace that the creation is standing on its feet, otherwise the wheels of all creation would have been dismantled a long time back. Baba cannot be explained in words. He is beyond human comprehension. He is God, whom to recognize the folks on earth took a long time, yet they can’t recognize him. Baba is Lord Of All and without him we wouldn’t have been.

Fish and Bones.

Fish and bones are life long partners. While eating fish, we have to take extreme care that we don’t swallow up the bones, otherwise they may get stuck inside our throat and cause us a lot of “khaa, khaa, whaa, whaaa”.

Fish is an essential food item. It is the source of iron, proteins, vitamins and other minerals which are very essential for the body. Big fishes have very fine small bones which are the main trouble makers.

The more the number of small bones, the tastier the fish is. We are Bengalis. Everyday in tiffin, lunch and dinner a Bengali must have fish. Though we don’t have fish that frequently, but we must and soon I hope that we would be able to.

My mother always tells me to chew up the bones without minding them much.

The work of eating the fish by separating the bones is extremely tedious and monotonous job. Most fishes have a back bone which can be directly removed, but it has small bones attached to it at its both sides.

Few of the fishes are universal and are available everywhere. For example-Red snapper, Rohu, Catla catla, Hilsa, Promfret, Tuna, Prawns (small/medium and big), shrimp.

In few countires dried fish or preserved fish which are eaten with pickle and chutney have an important significance. Many African countries which have economic problems, there fish is a big source of food and protein, as they are more abundant and cheaper than eggs or chicken.

Bones are the main structure of the vertebrates. Fish is the most important, vital and abundantly available source of food available on earth. Bones often play an important role in marring our activity of having fish but man reigns supreme. He will have fish whether bones are stuck in his throat or not.

When you deep fry fish, it becomes crispy as any fried and crunchy chips and you can have it munchingly with bones with small fishes. Yesterday, I had Kajli fish, which is a small fish. Ma had made it deep fried with mustard paste and I could have it munchingly and happily.

Few famous Bengali fishes are Pabda, Golda chingdi, Ilish (Hilsa), Catla (Catla catla), Chittol, Tangra, Koi,Bhetki etc.etc.

Few fish preparations in Bengali are:- Pabada macher jhol, Illisher jhol, fish fry, fish cutlet, fish with mustard paste.

My maternal grandfather used to like Koi fish the most. This koi fish is not the same fish which is available in most countries. It’s a fresh water fish  and is very delicious to eat.

My mother is a great chef, even greater was her mother and fish tastes truly beautiful and great when Ma makes it for me.

Be happy and have fish sans bones.

Within You.

Within you I find myself.

Within you I see a freer self.

Within you a light dances,

Which makes us all glow.

Within you is a passion,

Which keeps you going.

Within you I find that peace,

Which is required to live.

Within you I know,

How much you fight,

Just to do the right,

To strive hard,

You work day and night.

Within you a flower blooms,

Which keeps you happy.

Within you,

All that is,

Is you and you.

The River.

A river flows,

From a beautiful mountain,

And sometimes from a hill.

When the river comes splashing down,

It feels as if a fairy has opened her hair,

And water is contained in them.

Civillazations have been built near the river bank,

And a true bank soon followed.

The river signifies happiness and joy.

Many people have their daily bath in it,

While many pass across It in boats and ferries.

But when heavy rain comes down,

The river swells up and often fills up to the brim.

When the sea merges with it,

Many tourists come to see.

Near the river bank is the temple.

And nearby is the port at its side.

You can see fishermen fishing,

And the sailors sailing in big ships.

It has been a beautiful journey,

Oh! indeed I know you.
