A Cake For Desert., Poetry

A Cake For Desert.

“A Cake for desert,

Which one shall it be Ma?

Shall it be pineapple?

Or Butterscotch?

Or chocolate?

All of these are very common Ma.

Please, make a chocolate truffle cake for me, with vanilla cream in between.”

Ma smiled-“Today I have already prepared pineapple pastries,

And I am short of milk cream.

Get me the cream tomorrow and you shall have your chocolate truffle cake.”

“Ma can I have thin chocolate wafers on the cake? Please.”

Ma said yes.

Can you imagine my delight?

From the moment Ma has said yes,I have already have had my chocolate truffle cake.

Since that moment frequently I have been dancing around the house

shouting –“MAAAAAAAAAA, I want my cake, I want my cake.”

continue, Poetry

Continue.

Continue to sleep till the sun rises.

Continue to eat till your stomach fills full.

Continue to dance till your mind satisfies you.

Continue to binge,

Till fat accumulates, beyond the desired level.

Continue to lie,

Till it gets the better of you.

Continue with dishonesty until you fall in a ditch.

If you continue with all bad things,

You won’t find any peace, love and happiness.

On the other hand,

Continue with all good things,

And rise like the sun,

Till everything false falls off,

And your true self wins.

A Small Part.

A boy had a small part in a drama company.

He would work there as an apprentice.

He was called Bob.

Bob became my friend.

His mother and father were both actors,

And there was an elephant in the zoo,

Who was quite famous.

Bob asked his parents to take him to the zoo on his birthday.

His parents agreed.

I didn’t tell him that the man of the zoo was my friend.

When Bob’s birthday arrived,

He didn’t know that he was in for a surprise.

He went there with his parents,

But the exhibit where the elephant was usually kept was empty.

Bob was about to look crest fallen,

When he heard the trumpet sound from his back.

Bob turned back and saw that the elephant was wearing a birthday cap,

And had extended his trunk to wish Bob a happy birthday.

A big party had been arranged at the zoo.

The giraffe, the birds,

The lions, the tigers,

Each and everyone chimed him to wish him a happy birthday.

The elephant chomped on a bunch of bananas,

And after a while he was taken back to his exhibit.

Bob had his best birthday ever.

He went to become a zoo keeper himself.

From The Corner Of The Earth.

From the corner of the earth,

My friend,

Sir Lark,

Called me out.

Said-“My friend, I am here.

It’s all well and good.”

I replied-“How are you my old friend?

Did you have doughnuts for breakfast this morning?”

He simply chuckled and said-“Are you kidding me?

I am the doughnut man. Anytime.Everytime.”

I asked him to send some cinnamon doughnuts over to us.

He said-“Already done. I have opened a new shop near my home. Are you all coming?

 Or shall I come?”

I replied-“I don’t know the way. Come and pick us up.”

He said-“I will.”

A Silver Wrapper.

A silver wrapper,

Is a precious gift.

From a small chocolate,

Which it had wrapped.

Unbelievably small,

Yet Ma made a beautiful butterfly out of it.

It had wings.

I was in wonder.

I tried to make one,

The final product was a gross work.

To make it finely I needed to hone my talent.

But Ma’s butterfly was wonderful.

I wished that it’s wings would flap,

And it would go around the room.

I have kept it with me.

In my dreams that following night,

I saw that God had given it life,

And it was going all over the fairy world.
