Big Claims.

Big claims of a boy,

That he had won a trophy in a contest,

Were pooh-poohed by all.

None believed his story.

The boy kept quiet,

As if,

One day he would prove his metal.

And

He did.

There was a sudden flurry in his school,

A large competition was to be held.

The boy won the first prize in that contest,

And when everyone congratulated him,

He received their appreciation with grace and dignity.

The trophy mentioned above was left back in his home town.

In his new school,

The boy has won four large trophy cups,

And he wishes to win many more.

We wish him all the best. Adios!

A New Boy.

A new boy in an old town,

Reached the sky,

To the very top,

Where he wanted to be.

Top doesn’t mean,

Earning millions and billions of money,

Or any currency.

Reaching the top means,

Achieving the best possible outcome,

For the deepest wish within.

The boy wanted to become a teacher,

And for four consecutive years he tried very hard,

And at last he got a chance to teach at the school where he wanted to.

The school wasn’t of any hot shot fame,

Most of the children were from poor families,

And the children loved his teachings.

And the local authorities used to sponsor them and they still do.

The “new boy” later on became the principal of that same school,

And that position he held for the rest of his life.

A Lost Pen.

A lost pen,

In a lukewarm economy,

Doesn’t affect anyone in the least.

People buy another pen.

Hardly anyone ever looks back.

If sentiments are associated with it,

Heart cries for the lost pen.

It feels as if one has lost an old friend.

After sometime,

A miracle happens,

When suddenly that lost pen is found,

And all happiness comes back,

And the jubilation of the heart, mind and soul is unlimited.

If the pen is truly dear to the one who has lost it,

Then that person will keep it with him or her for a day or two,

Like a secret which is to be kept a secret and is held covertly and is hidden from all.

A precious gem from your treasury was lost and you have found it back, that is the feeling that emanates from such happenings.

Be happy and do write with your old pen,

They are more valuable than hidden treasures.

It Was Overburdened But Not Destiny.

The shipwrecked.

The ship was of medium built,

Destined for a city which was beginning to get recognization,

And in greed,

Of the people to go aboard and of the ship company to make big profits,

Lead to this disaster.

After crossing a nearby port,

The ship started showing signs of being weighed down.

It was nearly four hundred metres away from its destination,

When it wrecked in three parts,

And the mast was knocked off.

It felt as if somebody had torn it.

Despite all the odds,

Help came in fast.

Atlast, everyone was secure and safe,

The captain of the ship was awarded and honoured for his bravery.

The shipping company were on the verge of tears.

And the people reminisced about this incident for years.

And that’s all that happened.

The Old Milk Van.

The Old Milk Van,

Carrying many bottles of good ol’ milk🍶,

And big canisters of it,

Passed infront of my house.

I longed to know that where from that van,

Was coming.

It stopped at a nearby shop,

And few boys bought milk from there.

I couldn’t buy milk from the shop or from the milk van,

But memories of fresh milk being delivered regularly came back to my mind.

Later on, one of the boys told me that the milk van comes once or twice a week and sometimes it doesn’t.

There are times when many differ from drinking milk,

And now most are preferring it to boost up their immunity.

Next time when your face sours by looking at the glass of milk, do think about your health and drink it.
