A Gust Of Wind.

A gust of wind,

Blew my hair.

All the strands stood up,

Like a writer’s flare.

A gust of wind,

Blew the wrappers of my donut,

Leaving the sticky cream of the donut on my hands.

A gust of wind,

Brought a leaf Into my hands,

Which was red in colour,

And it was from a Maple branch.

A gust of wind,

Blew our pain away,

And filled those gaps with bliss, happiness and light.

My Town.

You go to my town.

People are there golden brown.

Blue and black are their eyes.

Yes,

My town is famous,

Famous for long trees,

Famous for small hills.

Once, a king kept there his crown.

Slept, a long sleep.

Looked for far,

And planted trees.

The king’s place is the fort now.

The place where he used to hunt,

They have made an enclosure,

Beneath the sun.

And now call it an animal park.

The brown people mostly laugh,

They are old stuff.

You know them,

They are all friendly and helpful.

And have known many good stories.

Will you go to my town?

Will you go and pick some Margosa leaves?

Will you give me my name,

If they have remembered me.

Will you pay homage to my town?

My legs can’t climb the hills.

Can’t shake hands with the browns.

Looking at the starry sky,

I try to remember,

Where I learnt noun, verb and pronoun.

Beautiful Flowers.

The flowers are laughing.

They got a cleanser.

It is none other than,

The bliss, pure water.

All got equally,

Because it is rain.

They are all beautiful,

All are known to men and women.

They will swing with moist air.

When it will be nodding to and fro.

All colours we got from them.

All smiles together,

We will sing again,

For rain and rain.

Ah! You are there.

The Moist Soil.

After the first shower,

For half an hour,

The smell of the wet soil,

Reached my nose.

It reached my heart.

Ah! You are there.

I know the smell.

It is my dear.

I felt refreshed.

I know that old scent.

A light emotion which the earth only can make.

It is the milky way.

It is the old purity.

What is still there,

Under a veil of all greed and dust.

I know God cares.

My Sky.

I Bless you my dear sky,

You are benevolent.

You warned us of calamities.

Last four days,

You were dark grey.

The clouds were packed in stacks.

When broke,

Was a huge thunder.

The shower came,

All bowed to it.

I ran to the window.

And cool air with sprinkle of water.

As if I could feel the snow.

Now rivers will flow.

Tomorrow, even sun may glow.

If cloud does not cover….

It will be a blinking show.
