The Rose Didn’t Tell Me That It Wanted My Shirt’s Button Hole.

The rose which Ma had bought for me,

Was big and round.

Yet, I kept it in the front pocket of my shirt.

But the rose would fall out of my pocket and a small thorn of its stem,

Would get lodged near the button hole of my shirt.

Not once, not twice, not even thrice.

It happened four times.

I told Ma-“Ma the rose is constantly falling out of my pocket and getting lodged near the button hole of my shirt.”

Ma-“Maybe it wants the button hole of your shirt”.

I removed the thorn and lodged the rose in the button hole of my shirt.

Though big and round,

The rose looked really sweet.

I kept there for a few minutes,

And then laid it in front of my maternal grandmother’s photo.

The rose indeed wanted the button hole of my shirt.

A Lover’s Chivalry.

A cuckoo coos in my mind,

That I must go for a movie.

The tickets are available.

Movie means popcorn,

Movie means sandwich,

Movie means three hours alone.

Movie means ice cream and its beautiful crucnchy cone.

Movie means action, dance and songs.

Movie means a story with emotion,

The good wins at the end and leaves a mark on your mind.

Now my movie was based on a sailor’s life.

Just the cruise has landed.

He could see his family,

But still he felt that he was reeling on the waves.

Everybody came to meet him,

His fiancé is waiting for him.

Two old sailors came and told him about the debt he had and asked the money.

He paid then and there.

But they never cared, asked for more and more, asked for wine and asked for any job in the cruise.

Some little quarrel, some tension over there.

His fiancé was scared.

He told his fiancé, that money is not enough.

All money he had spent for his debt.

He spent a few days at home,

Some more work and then some cons were after him.

He fought nicely.

Got married in the church and took the bride back in the cruise,

Happy and sad both are life.

Anyhow, I ate the popcorn and a thought came “Where is my bride?”

If a situation comes, I will not mind for a fight.

I will eat peanuts and on a horseback, I will go for a ride.

We will gallop and gallop.

The road will not end, till we reach the hills and rivers,

And we could settle in the new home we make.

Long trees, squirrel and sparrows.

Fruits and berries, soups and salads and grilled chicken.

That movie made my day.

I Have Burnt My Desires.

I have burnt my desires.

The desire to have good food.

The desire to walk in the fresh morning sun.

The desire to learn.

The desire to earn.

The desire to wake up.

The desire to sleep.

The desire to roam about,

Like a free bird,

Which always stays high.

Which always stays high.

The desire to be free of all blemishes which aren’t mine,

Yet told to be.

I have burnt my desires.

My desire to say I am the king,

Let it be so,

As I have obeyed all the nonsense,

I have obeyed the commands from all wrong powerful people.

And have obeyed everyone’s nonsense demands.

The only desire I have kept in me, that is when you will come nigh.

The desire to see Baba,

I have kept alive.

To be with him eternally,

Is the desire,

Which is left to be mine.

Sharing A Care.

Sharing a care,

Makes one happy.

It has to be good,

For it can’t be crappy.

Sharing a care,

Brings cheers and delight,

As it sings for your soul,

You become,

Enlightened and do forget your worries.

For care runs the world,

And despite so much darkness,

It exists and is God’s very own light,

Which sustains us and keeps us happy.
