A Glass Of Milk.

A glass of milk,

Is warm and lovely.

It’s good to have it with gusto,

And with a healthy spree.

A Glass of milk,

Contains all the vitamins except vitamin C.

Has protein and all essential minerals in it.

A glass of milk,

I too used to dislike it or avoid it at first,

But when I came to know of it’s importance,

I started drinking it regularly.

A glass of milk,

Gives me warmth and happiness.

Be happy to drink it,

And be very grateful that it’s for thee.

Adios!

Oh! Why Didn’t You Come For Lunch?

Oh! Why Didn’t You Come For Lunch.

Oh! Why didn’t you come for lunch?

You called day before yesterday ,

And said-“I am coming .I will have lunch”.

I was super excited.

Ma made all your favourite dishes.

From morning I was very excited that you were going to come.

We cleaned the house, dusted every nook and corner.

A new dining cloth was laid as it was a grand occasion that you were coming.

Ma had arranged the drawing room beautifully and we were waiting for you.

But when the lunch time came, you didnt come.

We waited and waited.

Then you called and said-” I am not coming for lunch”.

And the line got disconnected.

We called you up several times and it said that the number was switched off.

After waiting for an hour more, we had our lunch.

Then I felt sleepy, so I went to sleep.

In the evening, I woke up and saw that Ma had made bread- jam and milk.

I gobbled it up fast.

After half an hour or so, the intercom bell rang.

The security guy said that someone had come.

The doorbell rang and I opened the door.

It was you who was standing infront of me.

I hugged you tightly.

You said that you were sorry.

And that you were in a hurry.

But Ma and me, we wouldn’t listen.

We ordered that you would have to eat dinner and you could only leave early in the next morning.

Baba came home and you two had a long and deep chat.

Then Ma served dinner, I helped too.

Even after having such a sumptuous dinner, you didn’t tell us that why didn’t you come for lunch.

I got angry with you, but then I remembered that you hardly come so I cooled down my anger.

Then you revealed the reason why you couldn’t come over for lunch.

That’s because you were constipated.

Ha, ha, ha.

Well no problem, constipation is a regular feature in our lives.

Well good night and do sleep tight.

Early in the morning you said bye and went away.

We all had an awesome time, when you were here.

But, who were you?

You were my uncle. Who had gifted me a big cycle in my childhood. Since then my love for you increased three-four times.

Attitude.(Part-2)

Attitude is what defines a person. A person may or may not be aware of his or her attitude/ attitudes.

It seldom reflects what has been taught by the elders to that person. A person as he/she grows up develops their own attitude.

Nowadays, an attitude is a rage among people of various stratas of life and that is as soon as they finish speaking with someone, they plug in their earphones into their earlobes and start listening to music.

If you need to talk back to them, you would have to scream or shout at the highest octave of your voice . Then like a mouse squeaking out of its dug hole, they ask in a voice much lower than that of a  mouse, “Sir, were you saying something.”

Another attitude which is highly existent among shopkeepers is talking to a customer with a voice which is full of heaviness and nonsense. They speak as if they are the only shopkeepers existent and if you want to buy then buy, otherwise, search for some other shop.

There are few shopkeepers who treat the customers as God, but now a very few of them remain.

Attitude and its vastness can be seen everywhere, yet very few learn from it or correct it.

I will write more about attitude in my subsequent posts.
