Bad gimmicks often land people in trouble for gimmicks are meant for trying something out of nothing or for trying to do something just for the sake making something happen.
So, do not try bad gimmicks as such tricks or gimmicks can be bad and have a bad effect.

People who are elusive often try to hide something, because they are afraid of themselves, of their work and of their clouts.
