A sparrow hopping around,
Was having a lot of fun,
The rains had subsided half an hour ago,
And it had been asleep when the rains were on,
So, by God’s grace it hadn’t become wet.
Now, it was free,
And it splashed tiny bits of water here and there.
But waking up from its sleep,
It didn’t search for food,
Instead like a small kid,
Began playing and played until it wanted to.
For the first time, in my life,
I saw a sparrow playing so merrily without being perturbed,
Or without chirping.
It hopped and hopped and hopped.
Blessed are the little ones,
For they are truly the ones within their self.
