A Time In The Forest.

A time in the forest,

Isn’t a time of joy.

It’s scary,

Sometimes it’s dark.

Sometimes there are tigers,

And sometimes if God blesses,

You may have an encounter with a lion.

If an elephant trumpets,

Scamper as soon as possible,

Otherwise, you may have to face it’s wrath.

But I will tell You secret.

It’s best to visit the forest in your dreams.

Neither there will remain the fear of being eaten up by a tiger,

Nor of the lions or the elephant.

There remains only one fear.

Please don’t wet yourself.

Did You Make Waves?

Did you make waves?

Did you get noticed?

Or did you ride them up and down,

So, that you could feel the coolness of the water?

Did you make waves?

Have you ever appeared in the local newspaper?

Or it’s your dream to make a big splash one day,

And to be featured in the national newspaper?

Or even better,

To be in the limelight of the television world.

Did you make waves?

Now did you ride them?

Then shouldn’t you be happy?

Then why the long face?

Why worry?

Be happy and make a lot of good waves.

The Surprise.

The surprise was very nice.

It was a nice change from everything.

The eateries served nice pastries,

Which they still do,

Once a while.

Some taste like paint,

Some synthetic,

But a gourmet chef made us very happy,

By serving us a cake layered with biscuits.

Each layer of the biscuit was made with different flavours.

One such layer tasted of marmalade.

Another layer of chocolate.

Another one of vanilla.

And the one on the top tasted of butterscotch.

But there the surprise was hidden.

The top most layer was filled with sweet cream.

As soon as we took a bite into it,

The carefully done handiwork of the gourmet chef opened up,

And we were genuinely surprised.

It was a true effort from the chef,

And from the bottom of our heart,

It was appreciated.

Bald As A Coot.

Bald as a coot,

Mr. Joseph went around.

He was laughed at but he didn’t mind.

He kept the best of his spirits,

And had fun each and everywhile.

After a few days,

They made more and more fun,

Until his grandson decided to teach them all a big lesson.

But Mr. Joseph prevented him from doing so,

For he was civilized,

And the others weren’t.
