An Awe-Inspiring Feat.

An awe inspiring feat,

Of fairies and magic,

Of love and belief,

Of smiles and hoorays.

An awe inspiring feat,

Just doesn’t mean achieving a big thing.

Sometimes things which occur to be bogus,

Also turn to be gold.

Let me tell you of such a feat.

A boy in the forest,

Was picking up berries.

When he met a small pup.

He took the pup home.

Many years later that dog,

Once saved him when he was drowning in a pool.

Now you would ask,

What’s the big feat in here?

That boy became a man,

And his son, became the king of the entire country,

Through his valour, honesty and dedication.

And the dog was their companion throughout.

The dog turned out to be the fairy queen,

Who was entrapped by an evil wizard,

And the king’s son,

Was the one who could free her,

And once the fairy queen regained her kingdom,

She bestowed many blessings on that whole region,

And the three generations,

Of the boy who had rescued her, his son and his grandson,

Were granted the boon of immortality by her.

A Farce Called “Love”

A farce called “love”,

Which makes a baby smile,

Which washes all the pain,

Which brings on that sleep,

Which nothing else can.

A farce called “love”,

Which connects the world to eternity,

Which strings the heart of a wife to her husband and vice versa,

Which brings together a family,

Which lights up that happiness,

Which even money can’t buy,

Yet, is it a farce?

They Are Laughing In A Group.

They are laughing in a group.

Like mad men,

On the streets.

They are eating,

Burgers and French fries,

Yet their laughter is uncontrollable.

They are laughing in a group,

For nothing is impossible at this time,

For them.

Hope, I could laugh as openly as them,

For it is a privilege to laugh,

And that too in a group.

A Fine Rainy Morning.

A fine rainy morning,

Makes the road wet and splashy.

It diversifies,

The economy and the ecology,

With people staying indoors,

While most children simply venture out,

To make most of the rains.

A fine rainy morning,

Is welcomed with long snoring sleep,

Then a sip of tea,

With hot bread and cold jam,

And a peek out of the window,

To simply acknowledge the situation,

And say,

“Yes, it is raining,

And the rains are beautiful,

Let’s have tea”.

A fine rainy morning………….

The Rose Didn’t Tell Me That It Wanted My Shirt’s Button Hole.

The rose which Ma had bought for me,

Was big and round.

Yet, I kept it in the front pocket of my shirt.

But the rose would fall out of my pocket and a small thorn of its stem,

Would get lodged near the button hole of my shirt.

Not once, not twice, not even thrice.

It happened four times.

I told Ma-“Ma the rose is constantly falling out of my pocket and getting lodged near the button hole of my shirt.”

Ma-“Maybe it wants the button hole of your shirt”.

I removed the thorn and lodged the rose in the button hole of my shirt.

Though big and round,

The rose looked really sweet.

I kept there for a few minutes,

And then laid it in front of my maternal grandmother’s photo.

The rose indeed wanted the button hole of my shirt.
