In the absent mood,
I wrote a letter.
It was a letter,
Which I knew nothing about.
The letter was posted,
And it flew a long a long distance,
Where the day and night remains for six months straight.
The letter reached my friend Erik,
Who is a long standing friend of mine,
Now rocking with the original star of the stars.
He is yet to answer me back,
But I am sure he will,
And when he does,
We will surely receive it.
In the absent mood,
I made a pineapple cake,
Which my friend Haku tasted.
After tasting the cake,
He wrote a haiku,
And began saying-“I love you all,
But do you?”
In reply to his haiku,
I said-“It’s a good haiku, could have been better.”
He simply chuckled and said-“It’s a haiku, that’s what all I care.”
In the absent mood,
A small child completed his homework,
And began singing a song.
His mother took him in his arms and said-“Oh! My darling are you singing your favourite song?”
He simply rocked his head in response.
In the absent mood,
I wrote a poem,
Which is all now before you all.
Adios!
