It Is Hard.

It is hard,

To eat a piece of bread,

Which is toasted to its core,

Burnt on the both sides.

It is hard,

To sing a song which is made with metallic width.

It is hard,

To say “Good morning”,

When sleep still falls asleep,

And you fill it is good night.

It is hard,

To make dough,

To sustain,

Though to make dough it is easy,

But the one which matters is quite hard.

A Small Hummingbird.

A small hummingbird,

Flew just away from my window.

It went up,

Trying hard to flap its wings.

A small hummingbird,

Ate just a tiny piece of bread.

A small hummingbird,

Brought to my eyes,

The wonder,

That nature is,

For without it, life and its sustainability,

Is as meaningless as a fresh water coconut without water.

A small hummingbird,

Looked and danced and jumped,

And went away wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

A Big Football Club.

A big Football club,

Tries to gather a lot of fans,

Through tickets, freebies and what not,

But they are not successful.

They even get the stars to rock and roll,

That too fails,

Then their budget falls short.

Atlast after tough making decisions,

They say “Lets work hard,

And practice and practice and we must give our best.”

Slowly, they won their base of fans back,

Though few gaps remained,

But they were worked upon,

And achievement was theirs.

But it didn’t come fast enough.

Nevertheless, it did.

Cheers for the big football club.

The Bottle.

It is tight,

Very very tight.

I could not open it.

I asked dad,

He too failed with it.

Greta, Robin, Silu,

All tried and failed.

Came mother,

She saw the bottle and read-“Do not open in sunlight.”

“Hello! What is there in this bottle?”

“Cough syrup”-Greta Said.

We all laughed- “Why so?”,

Mother told, “Pleasure and pain,

Both are contained in it,

And both may vanish if you open it now.

And maybe after consuming much pain,

You will get some relief,

Which is pleasure.”

Now we are waiting for the dusk to come.

The Fat Lady Who Sings.

The fat lady who sings.

The fat lady who sings,

Wears a big ring.

The ring,

Has a diamond,

Which is worthless,

It has a ruby,

Which is of little worth,

It has a small carving inside it,

Which says-“From little Mariam”.

Mariam is the daughter of the “fat lady who sings”

But now stays far away,

And many times in the songs of the fat lady,

Her daughter Mariam is mentioned,

Who visits her once in two or three years.

The heart of the fat lady aches for her daughter.

But, she knows and remembers the old days,

In her songs.
